The next generation of Aussie hip hop has arrived. From the hills of Mt Hotham to the foreshore of the Bellarine peninsula, Victoria’s City Wide Krew was formed in 2008 through the mutual love of snowboarding and hip hop music. Comprising of MCs Fusion, Mutley, K-Dell and Sammy Rockswell, alongside DJ Pyrex1; City Wide has established itself as an outfit rapidly on the rise.

Initially gaining notoriety for their energetic live shows, the five man crew quickly found themselves supporting some of Australian hip hop’s biggest names; sharing the stage with the likes of Phrase, Illy, Terra Firma, Mantra and Low Budget. Not ones to rest on their laurels, 2009 saw City Wide’s first foray into the studio with their ode to travelling On the Push receiving national airplay on Triple J’s Hip Hop show.

With a sound that traverses the musical landscape and lyricism that is imbued with wit, probing insight and a healthy dose of humour – City Wide Krew are creating a sound for the next generation of Australian hip hop fans.
