Aiden Varro
Genre: Roots
Region: Perth, WA
Members: Aiden Varro - 6 & 12 String Acoustic Guitars, Hollowneck Weissenborn Lapslide, Footbox, Harmonica and Voice
Sounds Like: John Butler, Jeff Lang, Xavier Rudd
Influences: Michael Franti, Ben Harper, Lang/Butler

From Perth's south comes 20 year old solo songwriter / guitarist Aiden Varro. Starting out in Punk and metal bands at the age of 12, Aiden soon turned his attention to the more mellow roots and blues approach to guitar which soon led to him being on stage at the age of 17 with acoustic guitars and a style derived from class artists such as John Butler and Jeff Lang.

Aiden plays three guitars when live, 6 and 12 string acoustic and the Weissernborn hollowneck lappy to keep some variety. While open tunings and slide are his specialty you cant help but be amazed by the guitar work, with songs written about social and ethical values with a touch of love and soul for good measure. Armed with an array of effects and a phat stomp box on stage just to get your rhythm going.

In the studio at the moment working on his 10 track album Tastes of Inspiration which will include over 20 or so instruments and hopefully accompanied by a band in late 2007. I can assure you wont be disappointed at Aiden Varro's next show. So come along and decide for yourself!

Very dreamy :) I like the style. Its something cool to listen to. I can imagine it in a movie, as part of a montage scene or something. Awesome stuff!
