Asyra is a 5 piece Metal band from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Asyra was formed in October 2010 by Ty Williams (Drums) and Jaymee Hyndman (Lead Guitar). The two had met at the end of 2009 but it was in '10 when they decided to form a band. In early 2011, former bassist, Luke Mottley was admitted into the band; followed by Cameron Harris on vocals and Peter Wood on Rhythm guitar.
After 8 months of perfecting their sound behind closed doors and several line up changes and complications, Asyra played their first show on the 20th of August 2011, opening for several bands; Dead Letter Opener, Tria Mera, Trepidation and Acorea to name a few. About 4 months after Asyra's first gig, Ty Williams decided to leave to another band and Scotty Robotham (Former Drums) came in to fill Ty's shoes. Soon after; Cameron, Jaymee and Luke followed Ty and left.
Three months on, however. Ty and Cameron had the idea of doing a proper last show, for the people that did not have the chance to see them. But this held a new feature in the line up. As Luke refused to play with the band, manager and Trepidation bassist, Josh Dawson was asked to being slapping the bass for Asyra. Not long after Josh was invited, he came to the decision of him being too tied up with other bands and that he didn't have time for Asyra; and at the same time the resignation of Pete had become public. However, the band struck gold when they auditioned Nathan Stiffel, who was to take up the position of bass player...
