ALBUM LAUNCH -JUNE 2013

EP 'SISKIN RIVER' MAY 2012.

They dubbed themselves 'Siskin River' in the December Summer of 2011 and set out on the road. Writing and gigging as they went, they did the hard yards cutting their teeth in many a drunken pub, sleeping upright in the front of the car, and building a dedicated following amongst audiences at pubs and festivals alike. With recent appearances at Woodford Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Palm Creek Folk Festival, Festival of the Sun, and Nannup (to name but a few), and their Debut Album in the works for 2013, they're not planning on slowing down any time soon.

Sisters Shalane and Tullara hail from Ramornie -the quiet, forgotten countryside on the outskirts of Grafton NSW, where one can make a hell of a ruckus on the guitar and not have the cops roll in... They now live out the back of their station Wagon "The Siskimobile" as they tour the Australian festival circuit off the back of their EP, released in May 2012 (Exclusively available at gigs).

A compact duo with big sound, Siskin River redefine the term 'sibling rivalry'. With Tullaras unique style of percussive guitar tapping, and Shalanes rich and earthy vocals, these sisters deliver an original style of folky blues, with a stomping groove factor, delectable riffs, fast fingers and evocative lyrics.
